Maria Stephens, Sr. Director of Accounting & Finance, began her career in accounting while she was still attending high school. She worked for the Florida Department of Revenue prior to getting a full scholarship to Florida State University to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, she garnered her first full-time position with the well-known public accounting firm, Ernst and Young. She worked in this role as auditor for three years before transitioning into the private sector. Maria spent over a decade as Director of Finance at Fox Sports and USA TODAY. She then transitioned her accounting career to work in the homebuilding industry, becoming Financial Controller for Integrity Homes. In her most recent role before joining Applied Concepts, Maria served as Assistant Controller for the LPGA.
